Mark your calendars for a very special dinner event at the Weekapaug Inn on Wednesday, Oct. 18 from 6:30-9:30 p.m.
Enjoy a delicious dinner and craft beer pairing at the inn’s special Brewmaster’s Social. The popular and local Narragansett Brewery will be the featured brewmaster for this casual, three-course, family-style meal, where each course is expertly paired with the brewer’s choice of beer.
The dinner includes a welcome reception complete with hors d’oeuvres, a behind-the-scenes tour of the kitchen and three specially crafted courses courtesy of the Weekapaug Inn culinary team.
Featured on the menu are grilled homemade local pork bratwurst with caraway sauerkraut, mustard glaze, grilled costini and chili-spiced cashews; braised beef short rib with wild mushrooms; roasted acorn squash with a spiced barley and brown butter vinaigrette; kale salad with orange vinaigrette, cranberries, walnuts and Manchego cheese; chocolate stout cake and raspberry mousse.
Tickets are $75/ adult (21+ years); $55/ person for ages 13-20; $35/child ages 4-12; with children younger than 3 admitted free. The Restaurant at Weekapaug Inn is located at 25 Spray Rock Road, Westerly, R.I. For reservations, call 888-565-5023.
Next up after the Brewmaster’s Social is an Oysters and Champagne sampling event on Saturday, Oct. 21, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Shucked oysters will be served with hand-picked wine pairings, and instruction will be provided for those who want to try their hand at shucking. A naturalist will also be on hand to discuss the natural and human history of the native oyster and describe how they are produced today. Tickets are $60.
